    * Fake Name Generator

    http://www.fakenamegenerator.com/

Cool...now we can scam the phishers with fake names and ids.

My new fake identity: Female, Danish, living in Iceland...should be quite tempting for a Nigerian scammer wanting to give me his uncle's fortune in a Swiss bank account

I am working on a site idea where I needed a few hundred thousand phony users, including real addresses for testing. This site is perfect.

    Thank You

That is a very ingenious idea to promote various services!

I don't know if anyone recognized that the email, domain, phone number, and ssn/cc links all go to affiliate accounts for identity theft prevention, caller id blocking, and domain registration services...

Technically it probably is. To generate all of those names, street names, city, zip. It probably took a big list they bought somewhere, and just swapped the names with different info. Maybe swapped the last names too to be extra safe. ;-) But they came from somewhere.

This is really bad in that case.

    No it wouldn't.

Identity theft is a very real and serious problem on the internet. It is no joke if you are a victim.

Nothing at all funny if it was real IMO.

Hehe, I think Felipe meant it would be funny, as in so oddly coincidental. Not literally funny. Limestone Networks itself, whom Felipe is an integral part of the team, carries strong policies in this matter. We have developed some amazing systems to ensure that activities of this nature are not produced on our networks.

Oh yeah.. LOL... Did you see this?
One section on the site that says..."You should click here to find out if your SSN is online..."...
(Go ahead the link is active)

I think everyone here on WHT has to deal with, either first hand (their 'informations' fraudulently utilized), or through business and the perils of fraud.

Fuuny it happend to give me a name of someone in a town a few miles away.

Thing is, it was all correct, street, zip code, etc... I didnt call the phone number but if you notice on the right it gives geographiclly correct SSN#'s area codes and stuff.

I wonder if this is not so random at all but actually a list a real peoples information?

Kinda scary wehre they are pulling all this from.

Hell it even has Credit card information on it! WTF

This could be a great thing to have bookmarked and ready for when telemarketers call. My favorite tactic with telemarketers is to buy the product or service with fake data. All you need to add is a real 800 customer service number for a credit card company so that the teleparasite can be kept busy attempting to enter the 16 digit number "correctly".

Yikes, I would hate to be a telemarketer that was calling you!

I don't know. Maybe lying to a liar is technically fraud. They would have to identify themselves to authorities and confess to a crime just to bring charges. No actual product gets shipped or service provided, because they will dead-end being unable to authenticate the account number (during which process I disconnect).

Unfortunately there are federal laws against providing fake credit card information but not against every day telemarketers. What crime would they be commiting?

The addresses seem plausible. 76712 is a zip code for Waco, Texas. However the street addresses are fake. I tested by running
    4297 Hill Haven Drive
    Waco, TX 76712
    through
    http://www.usps.com/zip4/welcome.htm...e=findazipcode

It appears that the site is smart enough to do a reverse DNS to know what country to create a fake address for.
