    1. Gigenet
    2. Softlayer
    3. ThePlanet
    4. Rackspace

TBH. From using them all extensively from a support standpoint. Gigenet (not on your list) beats them all hands down.

Well. Don't you think that will be time wasting as each customer can provider different lists?

Well for some it looks time wasting, but for some it could help a lot. Higher price is not always the best and the responses from the community could help in making decisions.

To be honest Rackspace would be my number one. They had a issue with one of their datacenters that kind of hurt their name, but from what I have seen they have been going strong since then.

Also, I feel that ServerBeach, which isn't on your list, is also amazing at up-time, support, and their network is absolutely amazing. I have been using them for a while now, and I would not contemplate moving anywhere unless RackSpace would match their prices I am currently paying. I had two days where my uptime with ServerBeach fell below 100% but no less than 95% on network uptime and that was due to a massive power outage effecting the entire datacenter, which I understood completely.

    Meh @ Rackspace.

You will find that your server is rarely upgraded and often vulnerable to serious root exploits due to lax kernel upgrading. I see it way to often.

Lately Gigenet is receiving a lot of good reviews. It is also a fully managed server and guarantee a 100% uptime with SLA. And secondly seen a lot of softlayer reviews to be extremely good. Never tried both... So who among the two do you think is better?

Also how would you rank Burst.net when compared to the above two. I mean if I give no. 1 to softlayer and gigenet, then what rank do you think burst deserves?

(Ignoring the price and just comparing the network quailty, uptime, support response and resolution time, Hardware quaility etc.)

To be honest you will only find few users that have used all these providers.

So asking for Rank like this will be a bit difficult. Not all users have used each of these providers so they will only give you individual reviews for companies that they came across.

I think you list manged and unmanged providers on same list

I think support will be very different between them

Managed versus un-managed can definitely be a very different market segment, especially when you include RackSpace and others.
