If you're talking about what game, it would probably be the COD series or the HLDS based games.
If you're talking about what server is populated the most and the most popular to hang out on, I'd imagine that a game that supports a lot of users would have an unfair advantage over a game that supports fewer users.
Maybe you can clarify your question?

You're right, though they've been the largest and were clanservers.com prior to the re-branding after acquiring the gameservers.com domain  . The re-branding certainly didn't hurt them though .

When Diablo series was extremely popular, I heard that The Planet provided tons of servers to Blizzard(Also creators of WoW). Maybe they are providing WoW servers too?

Outdated list, but still accurate for the realms listed..

So no.. blizzard doesn't get their servers from the planet.
And a user cannot just make a wow server.. you can with emulators, but the servers generally suck with 100 people on them on pretty high end specs. Wow Private servers are just horrible.. lag so bad heh
