So me and my friends are going to make short shows about a types of cops. (Kind of like a remake of Reno 911)

So I'm wondering, what do you guys think we need? Also keep in mind we have the "police" car already, just need stuff to be added to it.

Any recommendations? Places to get things? Like vest, radios, etc...

What kind of camera do you have? I would get a tripod, you can get a nice one at NewEgg (http://www.newegg.com) or go to a store if you do not have alot of knowledge about tripods. Also, is your camera good at recording action senses? Such as someone running and things of that nature?

I have this camera.

Its a Panasonic HDC-HS250K, and yes its good at action scenes.

We were looking more towards equipment to wear, equipment for the vehicle, etc...

An alternative site would be http://www.streichers.com/ - though they are not as good / price competitive.

Be careful though - some of the stuff is illegal for civilians to possess so you might want to consult an attorney and/or the real police before doing this.

And I hope you have a HUGE budget - as the common bullet proof vest will run you a MINIMUM of $300, as will a decent radio.

FYI I've purchased from both and have found their products to be decent.

I presume these will be Youtube videos? Dont really need the "real" stuff. As a matter of fact, you could parady much of it. I think it would be funny to see a back woods redneck cop using a pen tube and paper spit ball to nail cars driving by to measure their speeds (Spit ball radar) <---- just made that up, never seen it done or even heard of it before.

Or have them pulling over and ticketing deer for traveling over the speed limit on a slow road...lol
