I fell for the promotion and went for it They have immediately put on an alternative promotion but the system is still slightly more pricey than what I got it for.. sooo I have a new Inspiron on the way now.
I was looking at a Inspiron mini 10 (which is a netbook, mini laptop thing) but the specs wern't high enough. I didn't mind the small screen because I use an external monitor at the desk and only occasional take the system away from the desk for quick remote jobs. The day after I bought my inspiron 15 they brought out a new "Inspiron 11z" or something... it's basically the exterior of their 10" netbook with the hardware specs of a full sized laptop apart from the screen. Could have done with one of those! They look really nicely finished... http://www1.euro.dell.com/content/pr...=ukdhs1&~ck=mn
anyway i've blabbed on too much and most people probably don't want to read any of that.. in short: I went for the Inspiron 15 with the promotions that were on
Dell's promotions seem to change daily so I wouldn't worry too much about missing this one. Plus if you order over the phone you can generally get yourself a bit more discount / free delivery or an accessory thrown in.
Also to be perfectly honest I am not a fan of the Inspiron laptops, they feel very cheapy and the all glossy finish on some of them is horrible.
The higher end Studio laptops are excellent though.
