Dedicated Server With Virtuozzo Loads Heavily
I`am Having 2 new Dedicated Servers One is core2duo and Another Quadcore . Both Dedicated servers have 4GB And 8GB RAM respectively . Recently 5 days back i have installed Virtuozzo Latest Version on CentOS x86_x64 OS . Since yesterday Both servers RAM is loading heavily upto 99% usage even though there is no usage of resource going on.
Its strange that the containers which i created with certain percentage of RAM . Shows RAM usage properly while in the main node usage always remains on 99% .
Can anybody tell what might be the issue and remedy for this problem .
Advance Thank You,
Go into the nodes and run free -m.
The -/+ buffers/cache memory is what you have left on a dedicated server, not the "free" memory. The memory is cached so that the free memory usually shows up as a very low number.
Virtuozzo pulls directly from free memory, so that is why it may show it is 99% full. Try going into the main nodes and typing free -m in SSH.
It just displays the memory details.. as below..
How to clear the cached memory from main node??
total used free shared buffers cached
Mem: 7678 7636 41 0 31 5926
-/+ buffers/cache: 1679 5999
Swap: 4102 0 4102
It doesn't really mean much, it won't affect performance at all really.

But its really annoying to see that 99% load, showing up is there a sort of solution for this ... It would be gr8 .. thanks for replying .. Just if u know any solution for this ...it will be more good
Same goes for our OpenVZ nodes, it shows 98/99% load on the RAM when in reality we have 4-6GB of our 8GB free.
Dont worry about it

As we're on the topic..
Why do people that make panels like these take the readings directly from "Free Memory"? Why don't they just add another line of code that shows the buffed/cached memory?
Would stop people worrying and what not, it also angers me because a professional panel like Virtuozzo is telling lies.. So to speak.
