    VPS Panel Suggestions

    Morning All,

I'd appreciate some help on the below, many thanks in advance for your information and suggestions.

Recently we've had a serious increase in the calibre of website we are developing and are now looking at hosting our own VPS infrastructure for our own use and to the public.

I've taken the plunge and have purchased a Dell R300 with the following spec ...

    Quad Core Xeon X3363, 2.83GHz, 2x6MB, 1333MHz FSB
12GB Ram (6x2GB Dual Rank DIMMs)
    450GB x 2 SAS 15k 3.5"
SAS 6i/R Internal Controller RAID (Raid 1)
    Redundant PSU
Intel PRO 1000PT Dual Port Server Adapter
    DRAC5 Server Management Card

I'd love to create a custom control panel but from a business point of view i don't have the time with the current work load.

I liked the look a feel of FluidVM but don't like being restricted to CentOS, DTC from GPLHost looks simple but I want an API to create the VPS upon payment and the ability to suspend etc.

    Xen Hypervisor essential!

    So what are your suggestions?

    All the best,

You could either decide to follow the main stream and choose parallels or just go for a clean xen installation it is very powerful (just check the wiki page and read about the developers = Cambridge university) but it requires a lot of experience to handle an xen server in any possible situation, that is why I recommend you think twice before you start offering your service to the public.

What are peoples views on VDS Manager from ISP Systems?

Seems a good solutions but would love to hear back from those who have taken the plunge.

    *Xen & OpenVZ
    *Good Management on Resources

It does seem mandatory to have the IPManager module though.
