    Does any of thise software need upgrading?

    Completely not techy but hiring an admin soon and need to know what to ask for in terms of software upgrades. Here's what I have now:

    Operating system Linux
    Kernel version 2.6.9-55.0.2.ELsmp
    Machine Type i686
    Apache version 2.2.11 (Unix)
    PERL version 5.8.8
    PHP version 5.2.6
    MySQL version 4.1.22-standard
    cPanel Build 11.24.5-STABLE 38506

    Hello,

    upgrading is good thing, yes you need to upgrade your software's.

    1. Kernel is old one.
    2. mysql version its old one.

    rest looks ok, but i will suggest first take backup of [all configuration/databases/domain document root] all things on another server then do upgrade your sever, if any problem come so you can revert back.
