In upcoming months, I am going to purchase VPS of 30 GB and 512 MB RAM.
So which Control panel is good keeping eyes on DirectAdmin and LxAdmin ?
I am not going for cPanel, please dont advise me about it.
DirectAdmin - My VPS provider is giving at $10/m
Qu. -- I know we can make resellers but can we provide them their own DNSes ?
Like, I am Administrator-www.adminofserver.com
My DNS records are - dns1.adminofserver.com and dns2.adminofserver.com
I am having a reseller, Like www.goodreseller.com
So can I give him DNS records like dns1.goodreseller.com and dns2.goodreseller.com ? ( In case of both, Directadmin and Lxadmin )
Use DirectAdmin. LxAdmin (officially renamed to Kloxo) probably needs to be rewritten from the ground up. The current maintainers are trying their best, but recently released a patch for a security issue in a related LxLabs product (HyperVM) which itself introduced at least 2 new additional security issues to the software. That was 2 1/2 weeks ago and they still have not mentioned anything about correcting the problems they introduced, nor have they released a patch for the original problem for the Xen platform. LxLabs' products are, in my opinion, not safe to use.
I think you can, read the features and documentation of ISPconfig.
But since you are interested in selling hosting, I will not recommend ISPconfig, as buyers won't be interested in it. So if you want to make money, invest some to get returns.
Also before going the ISPconfig path, ask yourself are you a good Linux admin, do you have enough skills to manage your VPS or dedicated?
Creating hosting accounts, creating resellers and providing them their own nameservers can be done even on a plain OS without any control panel, but you need the knowledge, skill and experience for that.
So better get a managed DA or cPanel VPS and enjoy selling hosting.
