    server.range-requests = "disable"

I have seen it in lighttpd.conf. What does it mean?

Range request are requests of one or more sub-ranges of a file. Usually very helpful for interrupted downloads and fetching small portions of huge files.

The problem with enabling this is the download accelerators make request which would crush the server.
