Linux - Added second hard drive - Need help!
I'm running CentOS, WHM, Cpanel with a 250GB hard drive(sda) and I added a second hard drive (sdb) of the same size and type.
The second drive is mounted and now I would like to have my WHM backup settings - called "/back" saved to this second hard drive.
How do I configure fstab for /back to save to /back on sdb ??
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Where did you mount the second harddisk ? and is it formated ?
if it is formated then simply use:
mount -t filesystemtype /dev/sdb1 /back
The fstab will look something like:
/dev/sdb1 /back ext3 defaults 0 5

Of course I had to ask in a n00b way - but wow, thank you both for the awesome help.
Super kudos to you both!
as it is a backup drive, i recommend you change the permissions for the backup folder, so it wont be world readable..

Not sure how to do that - please advise. Thanks again, by the way.
/back is set to 0711 ...Not sure if that's what it needs to be or not.
