    Free helpdesk software

    Just found a lovely free helpdesk software at http://www.accord5.com/trellis.

    For Open-source I like OSTicket, its really easy to customize if needed.

    Hello,

    I had been using WHMCS which is good, but for another system only need helpdesk not billing etc.

    I often need to awnser support requests whilst on the road via the blackberry - I am having probelms finding a free helpdesk that allows both the client and the support person to respond to the ticket via emaillike it works well in WHMCS.

    any ideas?

    Yeah... can WHMCS do that things reply via email and then logs it into WHMCS system ? I've never done it yet.

    Yeah, its a great helpdesk. I do designs for a company and they use that helpdesk. My opinion since I've worked with it first hand is very user-friendly and effective. Everything's displayed professionally and crisp.

    You can adjust the header and footer of the OS Ticket for your site design, just open and modify these files in the /osticket/include/ folder: header.php and footer.php.

    I have been using it for a small website. It looked great first (I couldn't believe it was FREE!) but as soon as I got more people using helpdesk, it become a real nightmare.

    It was difficult to organize customers and help tickets and I had no option but to uninstall this software.

    P.S. It was about 12-15 months ago and maybe they have improved this helpdesk now...

    I found that http://www.2-software.net/ promotes free helpdesk software HESK at the moment. I'm not sure if it's made by them, but screenshots look pretty good. Interface looks easy and intuitive.

    However, I didn't use it yet, so I can't comment. If someone has any experience using that tool, I believe everyone would love to hear feedback.

    Has anyone installed it? It would be great to hear some comments. It looks a little bit better than Trellis desk, but I see it's not as powerful as Kayako support suite is. In other hand, you always get what you pay for...

    I think he wants to integrate his website's header and footer into his support center, not the other way around
