    Domain and IP question

I am curious about this for my own personal reference and information.

I changed my hosting company 8/29/09, during the file transfer I updated the DNS Server IP Addresses at Go-Daddy who my domains are purchased with and yes I am on a dedicated server.

Now I ran my sites name through da whois:
    Domain Information
DNS Servers NS1 and NS2 still show my sites old dedicated server IP addresses.

    Geo Information
Is showing the correct IP address and data center's location.

When will this change to the correct information or is there something else I need to do to complete this? I completed the A entry when my server prompted me to after the file transfer.

I checked it last Wednesday and this morning. I understood last week not be completed, but it has been 10 days now so I was thinking that was a little too long.

Whats your domain name and IPs so we can troubleshoot?

Cause without those we can keep going back and forth guessing what the problem is or actually give a solution.

    is the site working properly?

or is the problem merely that some whois provider's info has not been updated?

The site is working properly and I hope the who is has not updated their info yet, but 69.72.180.186 is the IP.

I don't think you have described the problem correctly. Can you post your domain name? Did you change the nameservers at GoDaddy also?

Removed, yes name server IP addresses were changed as the server content was being moved and placed on the new hosting company's server.

I'm getting your TX servers. Is that the way it supposed to be? Go into GD and remove ns3 and ns4 as nameservers. They don't seem to be in your local nameserver

Should I remove them from GoDaddy or add them on my server? I have 5 IP's and just changed all of the IP's while I was in there.

I would just stick with ns1 and ns2. Use the other IPs for something else. (actually, all you need is ns1 since ns2 seems to be on the same physical server and you probably don't have any plans to bring up another server just for ns2. But keep both for the sake of general internet protocol)

Thank you, I will remove NS3 and NS4 right now, when you ran the whois did you see the IP's not matching mine?
