What did you use to make your website?

    Hi All,

I have alooked at quite a few web hosting sites. In a LOT of cases they have very similar design and layouts. If you look at the source a lot of them use templates.

I'm familiar with Dreamweaver and NOF, and wanted to know if you guys use any other software to create your websites or perhaps there are some specific templates out there.

Any help would be appreciated ...

I use Adobe GoLive 6.0.1 for my WYSIWYG editing and BBedit. There are a lot of template sites out there like 4templates.com, ***************.com and guistuff.com.

I use an old version of Homesite (Macromedia). It's really great, before I used Notepade

I have tried Dreamweaver two years ago and it's too long to create a site.

After testing many programs we decided on 3dize coolpage webmaster 7.2, the reason we chose coolpage is because it is easiest feature rich 100% pixel perfect placement (wysiwyg)program we have tested.

This program allows our clients to easily update and/or add new web pages to their site or template without our intervention.

furthermore if you can write a little code you can add to the coolpage api.

Very nice feature (we created a drag and drop paypal shopping cart, a table maker and a sizable pop up window maker).

I use Dreamweaver. I make the basic layout then save it as a template to base my other pages off of. So when you see templates some of them may be that way as well.

Visual Studio 6 when I'm in a hurry and have a large project to manage along with Homesite 4.5.2 (my personal favourite).

Command Matrix for .Net stuff cos I refuse to shell out for Visual Studio .Net

Dreamweaver Ultradev 4 for initial layout (if there isn't a designer involved).

Hear good things about Dreamweaver MX from some developers.

I just got Dreamweaver MX but haven't used it yet. Don't want to switch from Dreaweaver 4.0 right in the middle of a project.
