    Site like blogger.com..?

Hi guys.. I am currently developing a site like blogger.com where people can create their own blog and upload their pics and videos.. and i want to give each bloggers about 200mb storage.. therefore.. if more than 10000 people create their own blogs and start using it, i would need more than 50 terabyte of hard drive for my server.. what should i do? I currently have a shared hosting and soon going to purchase a dedicated server.. but for hostgator, they said 1tb is 70 dollars a month.. and they said they only allow 4 extra hard drive slots for one server.. I think that is so expensive.. Do you think amazon s3 is the best solution for me..? I heard their hard drive storage is cheapest but their bandwidth and other stuff was terrible.. Is that true? What do you guys think.. ?

That is if you're not overselling though. Obviously not all the bloggers will be using all 200mb of the disk space.

Yep its part of overselling.... You have to remember its owned by google with a multi million dollar budget. You may have to place 1 add at the top of each site to pay for it or how else would you make money? Unless you had some sort of payment plan.

Another question to think about is, how many sign ups/clients will you get initially? Perhaps you should start off small and then expand to bigger storage solutions when you receive more members.
