    Which CPU is more powerful?

    8 like this:

    Processor #1 Vendor: GenuineIntel
    Processor #1 Name: Intel(R) Xeon(R) CPU E5405 @ 2.00GHz
    Processor #1 speed: 1995.107 MHz
    Processor #1 cache size: 6144 KB

    or 8 like this:

    Processor #1 Vendor: GenuineIntel
    Processor #1 Name: Intel(R) Xeon(R) CPU E5504 @ 2.00GHz
    Processor #1 speed: 1600.000 MHz
    Processor #1 cache size: 4096 KB

    I'd use the 5504's since they are nehalem's.

    Also the 5504 uses DDR3 RAM which is much faster than DDR2. Only pay the extra $$$ if your going to use it though.
