Affordable UPS backup solutions

Guys

I am in need to get a UPS for my 20 amp circuit in one of my datacenters. For whatever reason at least once a month the power will go down for a few seconds and then causing FSCK on my servers.

I need an affordable solution that will give me a few minutes of power so that at least the servers don't crash. E-mail notification would be nice too but not required.

Anything cheap/used/whatever that may work?

Thanks

You can usually find cheap refurbished APC rackmount units,

ex: SUA2200RM2U 2U 20A 120v UPS, ~$499 refurbed last time we bought one.

Look for APC or Powerware refurb sellers like upsforless.com etc, any should be able to offer you a wide selection of different units. Google will help you find one in your area and price range.

Alternatively you could always buy a unit off ebay, and get replacement batteries.

I would raise this with the data centre rather than installing a UPS, this should be there responsibility?

Look on ebay for a used MGE 5 Kva unit. That will power an entire rack for several minutes,

I've been in POPs that house all telco gear: every rack has its own rectifiers, batteries and -48v DC power. None of the LECs would want the power run through a datacenter UPS anyways.
