Totally, so the more you update your content and your sitemap being submitted to Google, the faster they will be updated.
Why is this important? There are no quick fixes in this game and generally it's quick to come, quick to go. Timing is critical. You have to learn how to manage your time and if you are wasting it on irrelevant stuff like this you are going to become a casualty.
Important in what sense of the word? How important? What's the difference between three hours, three days or three weeks? Are you not talking about orienation and in particular the orienation of webmasters who are inclined to run in circles, clucking like headless chickens?
Is this not one huge waste of time and resoure? Google looks for and wants quality and I am afraid you seldom get quality from a sausage machine.
Rainchild, I am sorry that no one can seem to please you with anything that we say. You always seem to attack anyone who doesn't write a book on what they have to say. I for one know what I am talking about, and when I am not certain of something I state that.
Next, I am starting to believe that your tactics are to belittle anyone that may know something more than you in hopes that someone may use your service, or you are just posting to help yourself with SEO.
So please, if you are serious about having good conversation with people, please be a little more polite.
I really can't take anymore of your posts, so if you can not change how you speak to people in here, please don't expect me to answer any more of your questions.
It will take a few dasy to a few weeks depending on your web site contents.
Importance is measured in many ways but here are some measurement examples
1. Page Rank by Google - higher the ranking, higher the importance of your page. (you can check your ranking from adding this to your google toolbar or you can see the detail from here http://www.google.com/corporate/tech.html)
links from high PageRanked or well ranked site will make your site more important. building links will index your site faster.
Also, New contents tends to get crawl faster. So updating some of your pages will help you.
All PR shows is that you have links from other high PR pages. It is unreliable because it can be manipulated by simply buying the links you need and is consequently worthless.
It does help to get back links from established credible sources but you will find that those sort of links are hard to get. No one with any sense links out from a domain they have long term plans for and what this means is that you are stuck with the common every day throw away directories everyone else uses. There are thousands of hem and they work.....for awhile.
Stay away from high PR sites offering you links. The two don't go together, it generally 'costs' and you could end up trashing your site.
