Looking for a 'Dirt Cheap' Windows VPS

    Hi

I'm looking for a Windows VPS, at the cheapest possible price.

Ive done some searching and the 'mini $20' deal at dehost.org seems to be quite good but I cant find much about it on this website or the company so I'm quite unsure.

Anyone know of any other companies doing it for less than $20 per month?
I'm not fussed on located country, and i'll go with any specs really, as long as theres a moderate bandwidth.

Thanks for your support in advance guys,
This looks to be a very good, active and importantly, friendly forum.

The only company in mind that I can think of right now within your budget is steadcom.com in the west coast region of the United States, California to be precise.

See if you can read some reviews about them here or /google.

    Hi
Do they operate in a certain contract legnth or can you pull out at any time? I'd quite like the flexibility to be able to just cancel if I really needed to.
    Thanks for the quick reply.

I am pretty sure it goes by a monthly basis. Again, you might want to confirm this with their company.

Yeah, having scoured through the terms of service i think thats how it works. Is it standard for Windows VPS' to have remote desktop access or is this an add-on?

    Hi
I've signed up for a VPS with SteadCom ,
however, I'm wondering, do I set my own domain's nameservers to ns1.mydomain, so actually linking back to that domain and if so, what IP Address do I put in?
    Thanks

I think it'll be best if you submit a ticket in their support system rather than here.

WHT is not meant to be the helpdesk for providers You should always address your questions with the provider directly through one of the support mediums they allow.

The reviews around the web on VPSLand are pretty mixed... Some swear by them but it seems most get out as fast as they can.

Nonetheless, it looks like the OP has found a solution that fits their needs at SteadCom
