Now that I am leaving I will let you know WHY I am the "GodFather of WHT"
Hello my fellow WHTers. I decided to leave WHT for good as I feel that a WebHostingForum that is run by a de-facto-monopolist is not neutral enough to trust it with my business.
I thank WHT however cause here I met the people I now work with like FDC, OneFusion, WebAuthorities and many others. And I also met nice people like porcupine, skylab, SoftWareRevue and last but not least Chicken, who is the most dedicated moderator EVER seen and you should al lbe greatful for his hard and voluntary work.
And btw: Me leaving has really nothing to do with bashing or bad threads about my company, there are much more GOOD threads about me and me having atm surely >10 clients that came from here speaks for itself.
Now, I named myself the GodFather of WHT becasue of following incident. A few months ago, WHT's database was severely damaged w/o a recent enough backup. Most of you will remember the screwed up post counts and then 8 hours+ of "Off for maintenace".
Me and the team from my venture vBulletin.biz offered our free help to Patrick and fixed that in over 5 hours of hard work. 7 people off my team, mostly from Europe where it was 4 am or later worked hard to make WHT run again and we succeeded. I would like to express my pride about those people and their Team Leader Alex[NL].
I want you to know that I really love all of you and I have no negative feelings inside of me. People change, I changed and sometimes relationships must end no matter how nice they begun.
Chicken, my mate, please do me one last treat and delete my account here and keep up the good work.
TO the rest BE NICE TO EACH OTHER, PLEASE!
Love,
Robert (NocSol)

geez robert. thanks for the mention, it's sad to see you go and to see that some of the typical bashers (who will no doubt show up soon) had a part in you leaving.
good luck with the future and no doubt we'll keep in touch.

Sorry to see you leave here NocSol . . always hard to see nice people leave.
And for everybody who like to think NocSol doesn't tell the thruth, before you start bashing, I hereby confirm the incident with the WHT database DID happen, and was solved by us (that includes Robert) over intl. phone / IM / etc. free of charge in the hours people in EU usually sleep.Alexander

I simply hate these oh-so-dramatic forum exits. Just quit posting and be done with it.I thank my Lord for all His wonderful blessings.

Why would any anyone "announce" that they're "leaving" a forum? I've gone 2 or 3 months sometimes without visiting this site, but I don't see the need to announce it. Is it that personal for some of you? That's cool if it is, I'm just curious if you really develop that strong a bond with forum members? Or is it just grandstanding?
Anyways, goodbye.

For those of you bashing his exit, it was a nice thing for him to let us know that he was leaving though I did not know him. People who bash others because they wish to leave with a few final words or statements don't realize the point of a community. A community is a group of people who are drawn closer through helping eachother. Though in every community there are the bad and the good, they hopefully don't lessen the greatness. Though I am new here I understand the commitment and togetherness that comes from a community and thus I respect his wishes in say a goodbye, thanking some and sharing his beliefs. Good bye, tis a shame I couldn't get to know you.

Bye ... for now.
I'm sure you'll be back, just like another dramatic "retiree" - FloHost. Since his official exit from the forums he has returned on three seperate occasions and also taken the liberty to post an advert looking for designers. No doubt you'll be back, either defending your stained personal/company reputation or to offer your services.
Till then

I don't see why we bash people who "notify" us that they are leaving. Well excluding James and Timmy from EARHost. Nocsol hope your business gets straightened out. Wish you the best of luck.
