    Virtuozzo Licenses

    Hi,

I am just wondering where you guys are getting Virtuozzo License? I know you can get it directly from Parallel...

So far, I found 4PSA does leasing...any others?

How much are you guys paying for?

We've used 4PSA for a while now and they are pretty good.

    Haha... 500VE

Since VZ is licensed on a per node basis and not a 'cluster' as a whole I can't imagine anyone using 500VE

JaguarPC, dirt cheap virtuozzo pricing. I've never found a place that can beat their pricing.

Yes, you'd be surprised how affordable they are for dedicated servers.

They actually have great deals on colo also!

Per the Parallels Partner agreement, you as a partner must only sell licenses to your customers, you can not give licenses to outside people. An example would be Xyz that's in CoreXchange selling to someone at GNAX.

Yes, I know, but I think this topic was started inquiring about vendors who can service any datacenter such as 4PSA, but I may be wrong. I too am looking because not all DCs I am interested in offer Virtuozzo unfortunately.

Then 4PSA is breaking Parallels Partner agreement by doing so, it strictly prohibits that.

That's true.. we've had industry friends of ours ask more than once in the past to go under our Parallels commitments like people do with external cPanel licenses and Parallels has always been pretty firm about the fact that no one can do this with their agreements (though I'll send them an email asking what the deal is with 4psa ).

Try to deal directly with Parallels. If you buy products for more than a few hundred $/month then you can start as a silver partner.

You must commit to $100 more per/month @ $1200 at the end of the year. Make sure you only apply if you can meet those requirements.

well atbnet pays $128 for 20 VEs. If you he does not have 20 VEs then this question has no sense. Also you can get a commitement of $500/year with a few bigger prices per products so it depends that is why he should try to speak directly with Parallels.

$500 commitment, which birdy told you that? I've never heard of Parallels offering partnerships at only a $500 commitment.

I spoke with Parallels before and they seemed unwilling to do any better than 30VEs for $180/month per node. I'm just glad I have DCs that offer the software otherwise it would be cost prohibitive.

I've spoken to many people at Parallels, none have budged one bit. All their prices are set in stone, UNLESS you are a partner. It's just how they work, and they are successful at it.

Yep, that's what iv found and when you do try and contact someone there they are always "experiencing large amounts of calls please try again later" and hang up on you even support do that!

For a company wanting so much money from you each month/year you would think you could at least get your call answered.

well $6/VPS is a very good price, I do not think you will find a better one, and even if you do that price will probably be $5.5 except when you will add more than 30VPS/node.

I've actually found a lot better, but that is only when you find a DC that is a partner. Going solo, not to much.

yes, well I know a few small hosting companies that obtained a partership with them. The question is, are you willing to pay $100-130/month for a Virtuozzo license ?
