    * sql root pass different from ssh root pass?

    Hey guys I've tried changing the root pass of my ssh using 'passwd' but wonder why the root pass for phpmyadmin is still the same And idea how i can change it?

    what/if any control panel do you have, in cpanel/whm there's an option in SQL services to change the root sql password

    mysql root pass & root pass 2 different things

    reset your mysql pass at the mysql cli

    In SSH when logged in as root run the following commands-

    su mysql
    Enter current password in the space provided and follow the rest and you have changed your MySQL password!
