    Hi Dave,

The cabinets are $199, and the price per MB at 10 and 100 commit as well as the price per 20 Amp will vary with volume. If you have 50 cabinets, you'll get a better deal than with just one cabinet using the same bandwidth.

Since every scenario is different, there are a lot of ways to carve out some savings and reduce the cost of hosting in our data centers. We would love to hear about your specific solution and quickly send you out a quote. Please give us a call at 801-822-5303 or email [email protected] for specific pricing information for your solution.

Thank you for your interest in C7 Data Centers. We look forward to your response so that we can get you the pricing information you're looking for.

    Best Regards,

    Mike

How about giving a few specific examples.

Not listing the prices, usually means that you need to sell us on your services.

    Hi iChick,

Thank you for your question. I have listed some information regarding C7 Data Centers services below:

C7 Data Centers downtown Salt Lake City facility is the best connected data center in the state of Utah with Integra (On-Net), XO (On-Net), AFS (On-Net), Cogent (On-Net), Qwest (On-Net), Comcast (On-Net), Level3 (On curb) and AT&T (On curb).

C7 hosts the popular website Answers.com, one of the top websites in the world. And because of our low latency, C7 also hosts a number of VoiP providers.

Our 4 Utah facilities are world-class and located in disaster-safe zones. We have staff on-site available to help 24/7/365. C7 operates well within their 99.99% uptime SLA.

C7 is innovative with its cold aisle containment system and world class data center facilities. C7 has also partnered with Brigham Young University in a research study to find cost effective ways to reduce data center noise.

C7's services are listed on their website: colocation, disaster recovery, data backup and virtualization. Additional services include remote hands, data center migration, network architecture and a variety of managed services.

C7 has no overage charges for bandwidth or storage. You are simply charged the extra usage at the contracted rate. Changes to a contract can be made for upgrades, expansions and renegotiated rates. Our VMware virtual server service has a month-to-month contract agreement and has been used widely to supplement colocation solutions and migrations.

C7ís pricing is competitive and offers great deals to help reduce costs. Each customerís solutions is different, and although there are data centers out there that would charge less, they are usually lacking in customer service, quality of facility and/or connectivity.

Please feel free to call 801-822-5303 or email [email protected] for additional information. We appreciate the opportunity to answer any questions you may have regarding our service. Please feel free to email us with your questions.

C7 Data Centers would like to thank you for your time and consideration.

C7Mike, just to make sure you understand what is being asked of you, now by 3 different peops is costs, by not even trying to answer them with an actual dollar amount means you are keeping quiet about it.

Therefore you have wasted your catch line of a $199 cab, people are interested and you are not answering questions regarding costs of power (pretty simple) and cross connect fees.

If you had answered them, you may well find people more interested in your service rather than you just data mining information by gaining "your preferred contact information".

To help out here, please quote for 1 cabinet at Salt Lake City (no special pricing):

    1. 16Amp with a cost to upgrade to 32Amp
    2. Cross Connect fee
    3. Level3 and Cogent 10 and 50mb commit.

Think that should be enough for a simple quote, nothing fancy and this will then give other members some food for thought

I've had a reply letting me know that the power pricing listed here was good but that the bandwidth pricing wasn't very competitive. I'd like to mention and clarify that these prices are what the sales team allowed me to post - I'm sure you can get more aggressive pricing if you contacted sales directly.

Also, our bandwidth solution offers very low latency. If latency is not an issue for you then there are certainly far less expensive alternatives. Just send an email to [email protected] and we'll help you find a solution that works for your budget.

    Best Regards,

    C7Mike

    Hi KarlZimmer,

That's a good question. As you indicate: Qwest, Level3, and AT&T are clear Tier 1 providers. XO on their fact sheet claims to be a "Fully peered Tier 1 IP Network", and Cogent on their "About Us" page says that they are a "multinational Tier 1 Internet service provider consistently ranked as one of the top five networks in the world".

So that is how we state that our blended bandwidth solution consists of 5 Tier 1 providers. In addition, you can add Global Crossing to our Tier 1 provider list as we'll soon be finished adding them as well.

    Best Regards,

    C7Mike

XO is certainly not Tier 1, they purchase from Level3, at least last I had checked. Cogent could be Tier 1, that is debatable, depending if you consider their peering agreement with Level3 to be settlement free, and what their agreement with Sprint is like.

    Hi Karl,

On both XO and Cogent's websites they clearly indicate that they are both Tier 1 Providers.

As far as whether XO and Cogent fit the strict definition of what it means to be a Tier 1 Provider, I would kindly ask that it be discussed in another thread.

We certainly appreciate your interest in C7 Data Centers, and our promotions running here on WHT.

    Thanks,

    C7Mike

The pricing listed above is decent at best... Is this pricing available at both of your Data Centers?

    Thank you.

I'm not sure what the bandwidth pricing is now, compared to what was listed as this is an old post (and the $199 promotion was discontinued long ago). But, we've installed some 10G ports to some of our data center facilities since we ran this offer so I'm confident that our sales staff can get you some solid pricing on bandwidth. Just send an email to [email protected] with your project requirements and we'll see what we can do for you.

    Regards,

    Mike
