The Weather Thread!!!
You are all probably thinking what an idiot Sean is by posting a thread related to the weather. Well maybe he has a good reason too!
Nah, I thought it would be interesting for us all to share out latest weather here on WHT, For some reason I always love the weather and have done so since I was a kid and it has been a great passion of mine.
Anyways, To get started, I live in Canberra in the ACT and it is so damn cold in winter and quite dry and hot in the summer. Though I was looking at my old home town today - I was amazed at the temperature, Very balmy and so damn hot!
Today here in the ACT it was a mild - 15°C (59°F)
- Now mind you Australia is currently in winter and rarely reaches 30°C in the southern states like, NSW, VIC, TAS, SA etc.
In Kempsey, My old home town they broke a record of - 35°C (95°F), A few hundred kilometers north it was - 37°C (99°F) nearly 100°F...
Why is this the case in Winter?
You can say many places broke records today.
I am curious to wonder what the Spring & Summer will be like this year. Hesitant to wonder.
What is the weather like where you are, Hot or Cold it does not matter.

One year there was a thread about Christmas... I think I was complaining that we didn't have snow, again. Then Mouse was saying how hot it was. And we got into this thing where we were comparing how its so natural to build snowmen and make snow angels at Christmas time and she was saying how weird it is that we have Christmas in the winter, where Christmas to her is supposed to be hot out. I think about that 'conversation' a lot....
Anyway, its a nice 79 degrees out, quite pleasant. Sunny, warm... its a nice summer day today.g.

Wonderfully hot! Does anyone know of any good almanacs where we could look at historical data for today? (Somewhere that would show "Today's High", "Today's Low", "All-time high", "All-time Low", etc, etc...?
Thanks!

Memphis, TN:
79 degrees Farenheit...feels like 80.
50% Humidity
Which is actually very suprising considering normally, it's around 95-105 with a heat index of 110+ during the summer, not to mention a 75% + humidity.

I just got back too! It hit up to 127 when I was there. Vegas weather sucks.
I was also in Kansas last week, it would jump from 80-101. It would even be around 98 and tons of scattered t-storms. (scary stuff)
Now I'm back in California at a comfortable 85. (72 in house)I use GeekStorage for all my hosting needs. They truly are the best.

could do with some more of this global warming thing, even just a few extra degrees.
It seems that most people here are in some area where it is quite mild/warm and very few where it is actually freezing. Australia never has snow in winter, Or it did once or twice or a few times.
I remember when there were Bushfires in NSW that it snowed in Victoria. That was quite bizarre. Then it turned to recent, Floods in 3 states and a fire in the other
Anyways, Today, Weather seems quite weird. I was up at 2am because the winds that come from (Western Australia) thanks Josh, Exceeded 100km/h when I was trying to sleep.
So now I am a walking goose with my eyes shut.
Looks like things should be the same tonight:- http://www.weatherzone.com.au/news/c...-weather/12526
Great this is something too look forward too indeed
Oh well it is a coolish 8°C so that's quite nice.

Good stuff! You pass that one out to the friends and family mainly? Good idea, set-up something my computer-illiterate family can use.. Something like machenweather.com and they can just choose a photo of themselves (and be directed properly)! lol.
If only I could get my ip to be my bday, I know my Grandmother would now how to get it in the url box. 02.19.19.** ..aww..what was that last octet again?Machen N. Mathews - Coinhost.io - Founder
