Windows 7 Password - Help Please

Does anyone know how I can get around an account password on Windows 7? I have not been using a password since I installed it (I believe I set an admin password when I did install it though) and now all of the sudden it's asking me for a password on login. Any ways to get into my account to change the password?

the best took ive found so far is konboot it will let you bypass the authentication in just about any system.

    Hiren's boot cd may help.

I've wiped out a few passwords on Vista and XP with it. Windows 7 should be no different.

    Worth a shot.

Download ERD Commander 2005 and burn it to CD... it's the best thing available, belonged to Sysinternals, prior to Microsoft acquisition.

you can use a linux boot disc called trinity rescue also but the konboot method allows you to login without a password instead of having to chage it to something else

Most likely it didn't work for me because it was on a multi boot machine.

Will give it a try on a single to test it out.
