I need a windows dedicated server... I want to run vpn on that with RAS.but i have a question.
you know PPTP VPN port is 1723. i want know is it possible to install hardware firewall on the server for forward port 1723 to any port? for example to port 192660.
and clients in windows will connect to vpn with port 192660 ?
i want know is it possible? i think we will need to request from a programmer for write a program for windows for clients.and clients can put port number ( 192660 ) and username and password for login.login to port 192660 and it will forward to 1723 in Ras.
I want know is it possible?
i haven't dedicated server now.i want know if that is possible i will can buy a dedicated server with hardware firewall...

From what I remember, the Windows PPTP server can't change the port easily, much less can the client change the port either. You're better off getting a proper VPN solution or just using PPTP on the standard ports...
