    What to choose ? 3360 vs 9300 vs 9500

Friends, need your opinion on this:

I have to choose one server among the three. Below are the config:

    Server 1: XEON 3360 2.8Ghz | 8 GB RAM | 2x 1TB HDD
    Server 2: Core2Quad Q9300 | 8 GB RAM | 2x 1TB HDD
    Server 3: Core2Quad Q9550 | 8GB RAM | 2 X 1TB HDD

Please suggest the order of preference starting with the best. Currently server 2 and 3 are available at one of the server provider at a very discounted rate. But is XEON 3360 any better than the other two?

Xeon 3360 is the same thing as Q9550, just the Xeon label.

We cannot say they are the same, rather we can say they are similar. Go for the cheaper option.

The Quad processors are rather performing well!!

I think that's the main difference between the two.

VT and Virtualization Technology I assumed were the same, so if they're not then that's the other difference.

Go for Server 3... The Q9550 is a kickass processor Also quite a bit cheaper than Server 1 I would imagine.

I would go for the Q9550. Although the 3360 = Q9550, from my knowledge the Q9550 is a lot cheaper than the 3360 (for what reason, I don't know), and performs just as well.

So I highly suggest that you go for the Q9550 - its the best choice. - Quality Hosting. Affordable Prices.

I will have to 3rd or 4th the Q9550, same general processor as the Xeon, much more affordable though and it is a beast.
