Honestly I cant remember. I have a mile of tabs on my browser with all the hosts I havent dismissed yet. The thing that attracted me to Aperture was the creative professionals tagline. I would almost always have image heavy websites so anyone with a clue (keywords like aperture0 would get my attention.
Its coming back to me...I believe I saw a post that impressed me (from Michael maybe) and took the link from that-- see it pays to be a good poster!
Anyway the other thing I liked was that there was a phone number.

Well our roots are in photography, it started with my wife's photography hobby. Then grew rapidly, so that's sort of where "Aperture" came from.
There's more to it, but I won't go into much detail here.

Mike,
How long have you been in the hosting business?
My last host went out of business and passed us onto someone I am not as comfortable with. With Everyone is on the brink of bankruptcy .....
Well hard as I try not to I'll probably make a subjective instead of an objective decision, and being new doesn't bother me- things like growing too fast, and trying to be everything to everyone bother me.
So MIke how are you on those issues?
ps you can reply private or public-ok with me

oaks,
I'm Oliver, a Sales Specialist from ApertureHost.com. If you'd mind popping on live chat, we'd be more than happy to answer those questions for you there.
Mike's available on there, too.
Thanks for your interest.

I thought I would sign up yesterday but day got away from me
Anyway I'll be signing up with them but might wait till beginning of next week (so I dont miss those few weekend sales)
I guess I'm sold on the initial inspiration for the company-(wife was photographer-made a server for her, how sweet!) meaning that it appears to have a soft spot for creatives. However, knowing what I know about marketing....
Anyway the real point is I felt comfortable with them and the phone number means allot to me-even thought I'll probably use the chat for support
Nothing but time will really tell
Their are just TOOOOO many choices and it comes down to choosing people you feel friendly with.
Once I switch if all goes well and support is responsive I will start recommending them wholeheartedly and hope I never have to do this again(switch hosts) HA!
