it actually means none of those Cloud Servers / Cloud Hosting means your website or webapplication is hosted on multiple machines so if one fails, another one takes over.

My explanation is -very- simple form of what cloud hosting really is. Read this if you want to know more: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cloud_Hosting

Cloud likely means MORE hardware depending on your implementation.

In my opinion, Cloud is just in it's infancy, it still isn't properly defined. It will likely bring with it an entirely new infrastructure to hosting and computing as a whole when it does finally blossom into more than just a few buzzwords.

I don't mean this as an insult to anyone, cloud is very real and it's undoubtedly going to be an important part of our industry...it's just not there yet.

Most of the definitions I've seen of "cloud" services are either too vague or nebulous (zing!) to build a business around or are defined as "[Insert Company Name]'s product".

    My 2 cents.

I like to think it beyond buzz words like 3 years beyond buzz words, but security concerns are being address in corporate circle, aren't any of these corporations using cloud yet?
