invision-gaming.co.uk down

I bought a years server off invision-gaming.co.uk at the beginning of June and had nothing but problems. I haven't had any contact with admins for nearly 2 months. The server is still up, but I cannot manage it because their site went down last week. I submitted my paypal refund request after 30 days so it looks as though its £70 down the drain. Does anyone else have any info on the status of this issue?

Your best bet would "try" to go to paypal and get your money back. I wish you the best in luck in getting your money back.

PS. Wasn't invision-gaming a fairly large gsp in the uk ?

Yes is was, which is why I went for a years payment as I trusted it would deliver. Unfortunately I submitted my issue to PayPal and it was too late to get a refund, and only a complaint was submitted. Parts of the website started to fall apart, like they weren't being maintained until the whole thing went.

This isn't the first host that has just packed up and left everyone in the dust. It's a shame to see these types of stories.

Hopefully you get a hold of someone and see at least a partial refund or a full refund. Best of luck to you!

Ha ha, PayPal will generally just laugh at you unless there were physical goods involved in a transaction . . .

Having spoken to Chris from IG a few times I wouldn't expect him to let his company to fall to bits, but having walked past his rack in the DC .. well there's not alot of kit left!

Yes, he was the one dealing with my tickets, but I couldn't help but feel it was just him running the whole operation. The forum shut down when complaints started filtering through. I know when he set up the website he came on here for advice as well. His last reply to me was that he was going on holiday and new servers would arrive when he got back. It never happened and I haven't heard from him since.
