Any movie /sci-fi fans excited about District 9?

I love a good Sci-Fi movie, I also love political movies, and District 9 looks to serve a lot of political / alien goodness!

    I'm excited!

Any other good movies people are excited to see?

91% on Rotten Tomatoes. Very cool.

I do not normally go for sci-fi films, but I may see this one.

I am not overally excited, Reason being is the fact when 'I Am Legend' was released.
It looked so awesome, Then it turned out to be a flop!

We will wait and see what happens.

I thought I am Legend was decent. I thought District 9 was great.

I'm guessing you're going to hate D9 just like the 4 other people I just saw it with.

I honestly thought it was pretty damn great. People always go into these movies expecting a huge Aliens vs. Humans fight and then "hate it" when there's a story behind things...

Anyways, A+ movie if you ask me.

I saw it Saturday night and thought it was pretty good. I would recommend it.

The best part about it is that the story is original material and is not adapted from a pre-existing novel, comic book, graphic novel, video game, cartoon, song, poem, magazine article, or television show. Nor is it based on a true story. Nor is it a sequel, prequel, or reboot of an existing franchise. It's possible that this may be the only non-comedy American film of the year that you will find with this description.

District 9 was a great movie--saw it on opening night! I didn't really have a lot of expectation going in, nor did I even see the trailer (or know it was coming out) until the day before. I saw it only because I noticed Peter Jackson's name attached to the credits (producer).

I saw it today, great film, quite funny and a bit like starship troopers in places.
Its amazing how great the FX are for a non-Hollywood film...

Wow, so I saw this on Friday. Amazing movie! This blew me away in what I expected from a movie about aliens. You really feel for these creatures at times, and it does look amazing for the budget they had. In fact I think they made the full budget of the movie back in the opening weekend. ($30,000,000)

Wonderful first film and I expect the director to do some great things in the future.

RT is VERY tough on movies. I find that movies that hit 39+ are pretty decent. Ones that are in the 90's tend to be very good.

It was ok. I saw it Sunday morning. I'm sure I would have liked it more if I hadnt gotten plastered Saturday night and gotten home around 4AM then movie at 10AM. I was tired, hung over, and uncomfortable in the chair. Even at that, was still ok, which probably translate to really good when I see it again on blue ray.

Saw the trailer for this last weekend and it looked great, will be off to see it when released here.

Come on, it really is.. Just another movie in the raw of those "OMG, everyone is gonna diiiiieee!!" films..too pathetic and the idea is pretty old.
Children of men, The Happening, The blindness...I guess The Deafness, The cough and The Global Diarrhea movies are coming soon...
