Why are you leaving Servint? Have a look @ Wiredtree

Losing confidence in them, slow ticket responses and canned responses. currently my server is crippled with mail issues for a couple of days, so loosing business fast

Wiredtree hybrid looks good but low on mem for the resources

Is that 1GB ram guaranteed or bursted?

Are you running mail on the vps or using their shared services for that?

Yes, knowing a bit more about the reason of the move can help us recommend a provider.

    Regards

Edit: question answered while I was writing it!

You could look at Wowvps or JaguarPC, they are the same company but two different virtualization products.

    Hey Keith,

I believe that ServInt is among the good providers out there today, but if you're unhappy with them, I do not think switching to wiredtree would make a major difference (apologies for both providers).

Just as an alternative, I would not place all the eggs in the same basket. My suggestion would be to choose the unmanaged VPS provider ie. linode.com, vps.net, xtrahost.co.uk, xencon.net or gandi.net and give the server administration to a third party provider: bobcares.com or platinumservermanagement.com. You would get the best of both breeds and could sleep well at night - well worth the extra buck. Put the providers watch each other

now thats a great idea, looking into that now

Servint have been great over the last few years but lately seemed to have gone down hill
still awaiting my ticket to be answered which is frustrating alittle

The amount i pay, i could be better off with a dedi and eliminate over selling

    Cheers

Curious, what is the exact request / issue on your ticket? What is taking them so long to respond?

Another thought for your decision making - maybe not approprate for VPS forum - but dedicated alternative. I have used Opteron servers in the past and Opteron 1218 is a good solid server, a slightly old maybe. ServerBeach is running a great promo right now - and this is an honest opinion - no I do not work for ServerBeach either.

You can get a dedicated server for USD 99 per month with 2GB, 2x500 RAID 1 and unlimited 10Mbps connection - with 3 hour HW replacement SLA. I would call that a deal. See the details here: http://www.serverbeach.com/servers/s...php?cmpid=dis2. I personally consider ServerBeach a rock solid provider amongst the planet.com and softlayer.com

You might consider the unlimited cPanel license for the dedicated with USD 25 as well. For the management of the cPanel dedicated, I would take platinum for 29USD/month.

And sleep safe and worry free

Jacob - he said 600GB, right?

If so, that is well under 10mbps, more like 2.

I know - read that thread too. They needed to push 600GB/day through 10Mbps pipe - I'd call that true hardcore

I'm sorry to see you go, if you have a moment, would you mind shooting me a PM with some more information?
