You should just purchase backup space from bqbackup.

At that price, VPS is better

For dedicated servers, look here: http://www.webhostingtalk.com/forumdisplay.php?f=36

Specifically, I can think of only NetDirekt for those ultra small/cheap servers.

Your requirement is low, so is your budget. From my point of view, VPS is your only option.

VPS.. maybe. I remember seeing a "$10 Dedicated Server" which would probably suit you... it was something like a P3

Otherwise, up your budget a wee bit more and try CoreNetworks.net

If I put myself in OP's shoes, the best way to backup one's confidential data is to do it on a dedicated server. A VPS would be accessible via the hardware node without knowing the root password. The same goes with any off the shelve backup service.

The other acceptable option is to encrypt it prior to shipping it off to the backup store. So any compromise of the backup node/service won't affect confidentiality. Here's a quick guide on how to do it:

    http://www.webhostingtalk.com/showthread.php?t=850317

But then OP hasn't shared the purpose so I could off and wandering about

It'd be easier to find a small VPS with your requirements. Check the VPS offers forum.

Dedicated server for 10-20 USD will be hard to find, almost impossible. And even if you find it, it will be some very old hardware.

Definitely check out CoreNetworks.net -- they're a bit outside your budget, but you can get a decent box with a 1.6GHz processor, 512MB of RAM, and an 80GB hard drive for $30 a month.

You won't find a dedicated server for $20 unless it is a P3... You should go for a VPS or raise your budget.

    I will test this P3!
