I am not sure if the ovz RPM's provide the necessary development rpm to provide the build directory, if they do not you will have to build the kernel from source, use the openvz patch and then use your new kernel.

Im sorry for bumping this topic but it seems the only one that correspondence the issue.
Op, did you managed to isntall that module?
I m using openvz on hetzner server and getting about 40-50% packets loss right now and support tells me that its due to the issue with NIC module.

yum install ovzkernel-devel makes it work on the OpenVZ kernel.

Though, their SH script will take your server down, for some reason I have a server with the module alias commented out in modprobe.conf, yet it still loads. Random, but if it ain't broke, don't fix it

Same issue with X series in Hetzner

    Hello,

I have a OpenVZ based machine running on their X series for testing i am experiencing more than 10-15 % network loss on packets sent from around the world ( NL , BG , US ) to the node in question , is there any update on this while using a X series server or how could i make sure this is my problem ?

Thank you for your time and co-operation !

    Kind Regards,
    B.Bozhev
