    First jury duty yesterday...

Yep, I had my first jury duty ever yesterday here in Orlando.

It wasn't too bad, much less worse than people make it out to be. They had free coffee, and such. Also, they had a computer "Cafe", along with a TV room. There were ~500 people there. I basically spent the entire day on the computers, from 8 am till 2:30.

My number got picked to head up to the 17th floor with 40 others, by the time the elevator hit the 17th floor they decided they didn't need us. So we had to go all the back down.

Anyone have any interesting jury stories?

I hope that you operated live chat or similar from the court's computer cafe.

(just kidding -- too much of a keylogger risk!)

Unless Chuck Norris is underneath all that metal (and we know he isn't since Chuck Norris requires no armor) you must attend jury duty.

Nothing quite interesting other than visiting a park and a duck pond on a murder case.

I never had Jury Duty and not sure I ever will. I come from a long line of police officers and army brats, most of the time they do not want someone like me

I had jury duty in Northern Ireland a few years ago, after 4 hours waiting about they didn't need me Got free tea and stuff though, plus I would have preferred not to have been on the jury in a murder case in Northern Ireland ... might aswell just tell the terrorist organisations that I was resposible for sending them to prison.
