    Problem in installing CSF

    Hi to all!

    My vps is Xen CentOS

When i try to run "/etc/csf/csftest.pl" it result...

    Testing ip_tables/iptable_filter...OK
    Testing ipt_LOG...OK
    Testing ipt_multiport/xt_multiport...OK
    Testing ipt_REJECT...OK
    Testing ipt_state/xt_state...OK
    Testing ipt_limit/xt_limit...ip_tables: limit match: invalid size 40 != 28
FAILED [FATAL Error: iptables: Unknown error 4294967295] - Required for csf to function
    Testing ipt_recent...OK
    Testing ipt_owner...OK
    Testing iptable_nat/ipt_REDIRECT...OK

RESULT: csf will not function on this server due to FATAL errors from missing modules [1]

I searched and found this topic: forum.configserver.com/showthread.php?t=212
But it could not solve my problem!

are you sure you are on xen vps? i have installed CSF several times on Xen VPS and never had this problem.

openvz vps is more likely having this problem because it requires some modification on the host to have the iptables working on the virtual machine

it looks like ipt_limit module is missing, and as said, this is usually a case with openvz container rather than xen.

you should have atlest these iptables modules enabled at host node:

    ip_tables
    ipt_state
    ipt_multiport
    iptable_filter
    ipt_limit
    ipt_LOG
    ipt_REJECT
    ipt_conntrack
    ip_conntrack
    ip_conntrack_ftp
    iptable_mangle

    Thank you for your guides.

I payed for this vps as a "xen". how i can check that it is really xen or openvz?

I have all these iptables modules (i think!).

Can you tell me about "ipt_limit/xt_limit" and their values "28 & 40"? (google has nothing to say!)

    What does this tell you?
    Code:
    uname -a

    Hi Xenop

there is nothing you can do from your side, you need to contact your provider, they will fix this for you.

    it seems to be Xen
