    Check resources

Is there any way to check to see if you've been allocated exactly what you bought?

Like RAM, Disk Space, Bandwidth, etc?

There many different ways that this can be done. We are Wins programmers, which is our role here in our local town. So we do most of our services using our own programming. You get a whole OS install with your VPS, in a way like a VPM. So if you can look at everything that you have when logged in to your VPS as you would on your computer, including bandwidth graphs.

Other software on the market, I am not to familiar with when it comes to VPS management, but I believe it should work the same way when you login to RDP or Shell?

    type "top" in shell
    type "df" for diskspace

Bandwidth, you need some type of graphing utility.

That can't be the RAM allocated to my VPS. It's meant to be 512MB.

    Does this tell you more?

Memory is measured in KB, convert that to MB at http://egret.net/kb__mb.htm

Seems your provider has given you the whole machine memory allocation on your VPS by mistake.
