I personally like Joomla, Hated phpNuke.
I have had some good experience with the Joomla Program and would recommend it.
- Other people may be very judgemental on this decision but this is my thoughts.

If you aren't in need of a ton of extensions look at www.aliro.org. Based on Mambo, just like Joomla, but with much cleaner and better code. It does require PHP & MySQL5, but it's also much faster because of it. Joomla has started getting bloated, and these constant security issues are a big headache.

Not only me personally but almost all new development sites in Vietnam are using Joomla. Except the website and requires special code must own the remaining majority are built from the foundation of Joomla. I think is quite good in Joomla CMS
It not only supports good for SEO but also has Extension really useful for users
And now for another opinion: Joomla SUCKS INCREDIBLY.
Its slow, insecure, slow and did I mentioned it was slow? Also its confusing for tech-savvy clients and above all its slow.
oh and its really too much for most sites. its core install is about 25MB, which is WAY to much. Drupal base install is 4MB.
Joomla also is very bloated and the things you dont need, can't be switched off easily. Then its template engine is annoying as well and it doesn't support clean urls out the box.
No, i'd never build a site in Joomla/Mambo.
LOL, yeah that is indeed a different opinion
BTW; We love Joomla and everything is can be switched off very easy if you know how too. While i entitle everyone with their own opinion; it seems this one is more build up ignorance as on knowledge.
No package is perfect; so sure Joomla has flaws as other packages have as well; we in general we feel Joomla does the job of a CMS perfectly fine. If it is the choice some wants to use for their webhosting site is another story; we do; and believe we did a good job on it.
I think WordPress is coming up pretty well with alot of websites - and plugins have improved and keep improving greatly - one more vote for WordPress!
Oh yeah defiantly! When I get clients that want a CMS I always suggest WordPress because they have just as many plug-ins if not more then what Drupal or Joomla offer. I also feel with WordPress if you can read you can use it, lol. It's very simple, user friendly back-end interface, where to me Drupal and Joomla can get a bit confusing.
