    Electronic Cigarettes anyone?

So I have been smoking for 25+ years and failed several attempts to quit.

Last week I switched to a Electronic cigarette which delivers nicotine without the cancerous delivery system of actually smoking.

So far not too bad, it does take a little getting used to. You can also use these indoors in public places since it is not smoking and there are no second hand affects to anyone.

This doest help you lose the addiction just delivers the nicotine in a safer way.

    Anyone else try these?

    I got mine from http://totallywicked-eliquid.co.uk/

I use to smoke the small white one, think it was called like the super mini or the mini.

I loved it. Totally cheaper then smoking, but I quit now.

What got my attention was that my local mall had a kiosk and the salesperson was smoking it in the middle of the mall. Totally snagged my attention.

They do indeed help you quit at times..... you may want to look at pages like these though http://www.startribune.com/lifestyle.../51415472.html

I had a friend that would use less and less chemical every day and thats how he quit.

Yup I read that too but don't see those chemicals listed in the report here.

    http://www.totallywicked-eliquid.co....b-reports.html

Still has to be better than the real Ciggs's.

    and http://www.totallywicked-eliquid.co....mber-2008.html

A list of chemicals and there known effects.

    EDIT:

Funny.. Mine was ordered from the UK, shipped from China and the description on the package (Yes it went through customs) said it was a "Toy Gift Box". LOL

I actually never even heard of these until a few weeks ago. A member here has a website which sells them to the Chicago area I think.

So how does it work exactly? Is it the same sensation as smoking?

I smoke roughly 10 cigs a day and would love to quit without using pills.

Taste is a little different and the draw you have to get used to but I do get my morning buzz from the smoke.

I buy the liquid and refill my own. They say you get about a packs worth out of the cartridge but I only get about 5 cigs worth.

Yeah you just draw on it and the cig is actually a rechargable battery, when you drag it heats a element and vaporizes the nicotine oil. really easy to use. If all goes well I may just toss it.

I am gonna try and step the refill oil strength down to 0mg and then toss the thing.

I tried quiting and the patch was actually working except I got a chemical burn from the adhesive, it was really bad, blistered and everything(yes I rotated the location of it).

So-far so good on this thing. Puffed away in a bar the other day and got alot of inquiries.

Which model do you have? If you have the mini, try covering one of the small holes at the end with your finger. You'll get a nice dragg.

I hate the patches. I get numbing in my arm regardless of the strength.

Thanks for the reply. I'm going to read a lot more about this. Pretty interesting.

Still working for me. No real cigs in almost 2 weeks.

Try investing in a good one. 510's are decent.

It's so easy to criticize/judge if you are a non smoker. Not sure how helpful your post is in this thread, though. If anything, you should applaud Patrick for making an effort to quit.

    Patrick, good luck.

    Vito,

Thanks for that. Tried patches but had a reaction, gum and the rest.. Nothing worked.

This works.. Funny after 11 days or so I am starting to smell things I never did before..

    Outlaw Web Master,

They run off rechargable bateries and come in different models.

    warzone09,

Most people start when they are young and don't understand the dangers. Also its been 25 years for me so when I started you could see Doctors promoting them on TV!

Knowing it's bad after being addicted doesnt matter at that point becasue your addicted.

I have finally found a way to stop the harmfull affects of smoking. I'm still addicted to nicotine but the delivery system won't kill me and neither will nicotine. Cigarettes have about 4000 chemicals in them. A E-Cig hass about 30 all mainly food additives except for the pharmacutical grade nicotine. The same stuff in the patch.

Glad you like vaping. Its really gaining ground and so many people are quiting smoking compared to other methods(own opinion). The most amazing smell i realized after I stoppped was how easy it is to tell if someone smokes. Before I could never smell smoke on other people, heh

Been a member for awhile. Im, davidb there. I post on and off. I like posting here better, the conversations over there get SO repetitive. If I see one more post about "Now is the time to campaign" well, ok, I wont do anything. I would post more if they had advertising slots open for the Supporting suppliers section. But its capped and no ideas what the wait list is like, although I am a Forum Supplier.

Plus I just did my wire transfer for a few k in new supplies, mainly the ecig I am out of and a newer one. The one I have in stock now most people know is of lower quality, more for a casual users. So no point in advertising someone those types of users do not want, heh

I live in Elgin. How long do you think it would take to ship/be delivered from date of order?

To Elgin? Next day it will arrive if ordered before 5pm mon-fri, order on sat before 2:30, arrive on monday.

Our stuff SHOULD be in late next week, the transfer does not take too long but then get it together and ship from China takes a few days, plus it gets screwy because they wont get the money earliest until Monday since its now Saturday there.
