Increased Number of VPS Complaints Let Me Suggest

    Hi,

just noticed that a fair few complaints from VPS providers So I would like to suggest the the two VPS I use

    www.ultimahosts.net/.eu/.net.au
They offer VPS's in Australia (My VPS's are there), USA and UK.
By far very supportive and great uptime (My IP:210.50.193.135)

And for My other recommendation Knownhost.com
    Fast support and managed.

Using these two providers should be your last change. Please consider them.

i think with all the negative vps reviews we're going to have to have some kind of poll system - where people who are pleased can vote too, as people who are unsatisfied are the ones who write the reviews usually.

if its just a click vote, then maybe some satisfied people will chime in too.

at the moment choosing a vps provider based on this forum is a nightmare.

Yea but once you find that provider it's smooth sailing.

I was looking up previous business in the archives on these forums; it's surprising to see how many highly recommended businesses on these forums no longer exist.

Either bought out (hopefully for clients) or what not - but the links and back links are all dead, or the domain is being parked.

Thanks for the review! We have found that VPS clients are our happiest and the ones who need the least support. Ironically happy clients don't usually post on forums. For quite awhile we have been moving away from shared to VPS and as a company have never been happier.

I'm not sure I would say that there has been an increase of bad reviews, seems within the normal range for me.

Well it's great to see another Aussie host up there.

(Ultima is based in Melbourne I believe).

For the unmanaged "gurus", I recommend Xen based hosting and Linode.com in the US, Gandi.net and xtrahost.co.uk in Europe.

All high quality VPS Xen hosts with great reputation and support. Personally I prefer Linode, but have tested Gandi.net as well. For their weakness - Gandi only offers one IP per server at the moment - which is not enough for my needs.

xtrahost.co.uk is well commented in WHT and I have personal contacts using their services. I have not tested their xen hosting just yet..

Our main base is in Melbourne where we have our own rackspace along with our own servers.

We are also in Dallas and London. Support is based in 3 different time zones (Melbourne, London and Uruguay).
