    Can't stop sneezing

I have never had an allergy. But for some reason, I started sneezing today. It was so bad, (cover your eyes, this is gross) I honestly think I sneezed enough mucus to fill a 12OZ coke can. On top of this, I sneezed up blood in the morning.

This has never happened to me, and my insurance is for Kaiser, which there are tons of them in California but none in Kansas.

Anyone have any ideas what could have caused this? My nose hurts, its running, and when I sneeze, I sneeze 3 times. (dont know if that makes a difference)

Please help my side is starting to hurt

go to the doctors asap sneezing blood is never a good thing. Even if it may not seem bad there could be more then a cold or allergies.

I can't, my insurance only covers me if I go to Kaiser.

Also it was 1 sneeze that had blood.

Where do you live? No free medical coverage? Rather sad considering it's 2009... Anyways, enough about that.

Do you have pets? Is it possibly due to air flow? I know when we close our windows and rock air conditioning, my "allergies" act up beyond high heaven. Very close to what you're talking about.

I'm a big sneezer regardless. It seems any bright light can set me off.

Do you have any pain in your sinus area?

I live in California. (The US)

We do have pets, but I'm currently not home. I'm in Kansas. I'm also an A/C baby. I run the a/c no matter what in my hotel room, my car, (at home too) no matter what. I don't like my windows down in my vehicles for some reason. I can't live without a/c, especially considering its been hitting 90 degrees out here.

    And no it doesn't hurt.

I do suggest you try to see a doc ASAP. If it was just one sneeze had blood, probably you sneezed so damn hard you blew some blood vessels. If you continues to sneeze blood, something more serious may be doing that. Do you feel blood in your throat as well?

If I were you, I'd rather just pay that $40-$80 visit fee just do check-up.

    1) Are you a smoker?
    2) How long this has been going on?
    3) Allergic to any food? Something you recently ate?

What you described so far sounds like something triggered as an allergic reaction. If you go to the doc they may want to take your blood sample and you could be looking at 2-7 days before you get any report back.

Again, you should try to go see a doc if all possible.

I do not smoke, but my team does, but I am only with them around an hour a day.

    This started yesterday.

I'm not allergic to anything that I know of, but I could be allergic to something I never knew I was.

Take Claritin and see if it improves, if it doesn't then you should go see a Doc because your life is worth more than $80-100.

    Hi Randy,

I would recommend checking in your yellow pages and you might find State supported (just do a search for 'your state' state health department) also other thing would be call up 'walk-in' clinics in your city and ask them how much it costs for the visit.

In addition, it might be a good idea to let them know that you don't have insurance and will be paying by cash or check instead of credit card. I was surprised that just mentioning the same during a late night emergency visit to local hospital saved me US$ 250.00.

    Hope this helps.

Its not that I'm being cheap, its that I don't know where to go. There are Clinics here, but they are in Walgreens. I don't know how trustworthy they are.

Also an FYI, my body is hurting really bad right now every time I sneeze of cough, and my chest is hurting no matter what. I leave back home on the 11th.

    Might as well find someplace
