Ordered an Air Soft 1/16th R/C Battle Tank... *grin*

Well I was browsing ThinkGeek.com today and I ran across their R/C 1/16th scale airsoft battle tanks...

I got to looking around and found this one:
    http://www.bananahobby.com/1105.html

I just ordered it, can't wait till it arrives. Supposedly it will run for an hour and fire pellets up to 25 meters haha. I am going to see if I can find some of those 6mm soft foam pellets to shoot at the cat when he's being a pain haha... maybe my tank will guard the door! (Of course if the foam pellets don't hurt - I wouldn't want to hurt my cat).

At any rate - just excited so I thought I'd post it up - I know it's kind of silly but hey I think I'll have some fun with it

lol, that's bad ass! I don't think my wife would appreciate mini tanks driving around the house. Mind you, if I ordered 50 she'd have no say

HAHA I love these things a friend had a airsoft and destroyed me. How much does the shipping on that thing cost?

Hahahaha... 50 controllers though unless you set them on the same frequency and set up an ambush :-)

Push 1 button... 50 tanks fire...

The one I ordered has the realistic cannon and engine sounds and makes the smoke too which is pretty neat.

You can also get 6mm paintballs if you're feeling mischievous

That's awesome. I got an m4a1 from redwolf a few years ago, upgraded it to 375fps.. real fun. I'm sure you'll have a blast with that tank.

Yeah, I looked at a lot of them and this one was the one that I liked the most. Mayhap someday I'll buy a kit and build one that's real nice+powerful but this one should do good for chasing the cat around the house

Even if I don't load shells the simulated cannon sound will surely send him running

This one *supposedly* will run up to 60 minutes on a full charge where as most of the ones I liked besides this one would last 15 to 30 minutes at most. We'll have to wait until it shows up to see how long it really lasts

Looks pretty cool . I was thinking of buying one of the AirSoft Sniper Rifles a while back, never knew they had mini-tanks as well .

Def. post a review of it. If it runs for an hour, I'd get one just to chase my cat around with!

I'm certainly going to post up some videos on YouTube... I already have silly ones of just my cat:
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i-9_k...er_profilepage

Portrait video for the loss but it's pretty funny. Don't watch it with your sound all the way up

Next Hero video - Tank vs Cat!

I hope the tank will be here by the end of next week but that is being optimistic because I got it shipped via UPS ground.

So, what is the outcome of this tank? Worth the money? Or just a one time fun thing?

Pay them enough, they'll probably drop ship (literally) to Antarctica.

$87 to ship to the UK, shame it costs more than the tank itself

There are loopholes. Contact a fedex or ups or something of the sort and see if they will ship it at a cheaper rate.

I wouldn't order it if I were you, Mike never received his tank and had to submit a dispute to get his money back...

I couldn't get in contact with the selling company beyond talking to sales initially and then submitting my order.

I submitted a dispute and after 5 days they didn't respond to the dispute so I escalated it to a claim and had my money back within about 3 more days but I did pay via PayPal.

I went down to the local hobby shop and picked one up - it was a bit more expensive but at least I got it same-day
