Yahoo Search powered by Microsoft Bing!

Oh, wow. This just came in on Twitter... Yahoo Search will be powered by Bing Search soon?!

    http://twitter.com/#search?q=bing%20yahoo

What's your opinion on this? I think this could mean quite a competitor for Google!

I'm sticking with Google for now - it's always been the best and easiest for me, with easy to use interface.

We'll see, I doubt it would be better then Google any time soon.

Google for me. I've got it as the primary search in all my browsers (even IE8) but I'll always use the Google home page, it's simple and uncluttered. But if I remember correctly, Microsoft tried to open up a Trust Violation against Google because they were going to team up with Yahoo!, so is the shoe on the other foot now or is Microsoft just that bad that they need to take legal action against anyone who would damage their bottom line? Oh wait, they are, because they're trying to sue people for using Linux.

I remember Yahoo! Search was powered by Google a few years ago. This improved Google search a lot. Now Bing is using the same route.

I guess anyone who wants to promote their search engine, teams up with Yahoo

This should turn out to be rather interesting. It's neat to see both companies (MS and Goog) striking eachother where it counts!

If you ask me, Google has to be somewhat worried.

It would be hard to compete with Google because it has been the top search engine for a long time but if Bing could rank next to it, it would be a great achievement and is something to be proud of.

I still don't see why Microsoft would launch Bing and still have interest in Yahoo! From what I've read, it's not a full takeover in either directions.

A "higher up" at Yahoo also stated they'd never want the deal to be done unless "boatloads of money" were involved. Smart thing to say in this economy...really...

Quick and easy to say, but how exactly is Bing Crap? I've heard a few people say this, but never back it up with anything.

homegrownclone... probably because it's still a popular search engine that a lot of people use. 20% of all searches captured use the Yahoo Search Engine. Not bad....

I also find it funny that people slam Bing for only increasing it's search base by a little bit. A few %'s, is a huge deal. No, it won't get 75% of the search, but it will increase.

Sometimes I think the G00gle F@nboys are worse than the M@C or M$sft people... lame all around.

Bing is a innovation, but I really don't like it. I have found with my searches that Google finds the information I am looking for easier while Bing finds crap I don't need. I also like the clean user interface of Google.

Google also offers more than just search, I love Google Apps, Gmail, Google Chat, Chrome, Images, Android, Scholar and so on.

Yahoo unwittingly gave the best launch platform in the world to their now largest competitor. I don't believe Google would be anywhere near as successful as they are today if it were not for their original search distribution deal with Yahoo back in the day.

This is also a fine path for Bing. MS has the $$$$, there is still a lot they can do in this market.

Bing is Bung! Their search engine doesn't produce the results I desire which Google provides for me.

The MS (Bing) Yahoo deal makes me distance my dealings with Yahoo.
