    PXE boot..anybody tried this?

    Hi!
I'm trying to make it as easy as possible for a host to install Xenserver on a server for me..so I agreed to setup a TFTP server to facilitate a PXE boot..and make it easier for them.

Anybody done this? Better to burn CD's? How well does it work?

    Thanks

Almost every datacenter I can think of uses PXE booting.. it's common place for OS loads. Works great.

It's the preferred install method here too. The pxeboot server is put on its own vlan though.

Make sure your tftp/dhcp server is on another box and that they share the same VLAN. You will also need KVM access to the xenserver-to-be box for making install much easier.
