PHP operation not permitted (User permissions need fix will pay)
I have a VPS that I recently setup and transferred my cpanel accounts from a previous VPS. Since doing so some of my PHP scripts have started outputting errors in relation to "operation not permitted".
I've accessed my VPS via SSH and tried the following:
chown -R whiskass.whiskass public_html (Page can no longer be accessed)
chown -R whiskass.nobody public_html (Page works but get operation not permitted error)
chown -R nobody.nobody public_html (Page works and no errors but I can no longer access the site via FTP)
I'd like someone to recommend a fix (or help fix it) so that my cpanel user can run PHP scripts without receiving this error and also still be able to access the site via FTP.
If you could PM me a quote for the solution (or simply pm the solution) I'll be happy to pay for the privilege. You can also contact me on [email protected]
I don't believe you can get private messages as your postcount shows you have a new account. However if you'd like us to look at that, it wouldn't be a problem. You can email us @ support @ serveradmins.net .
It sounds like you've moved from a provider that used to use suPHP and your current config isn't setup to use that. You can run /scripts/easyapache and enable suPHP which should fix up your problems. However I can't be 100% sure that'll fix you up without personally looking into it.
As to the price, we're currently running a special and can take care of this quite cheaply for you should you like.
