    Socks5 server setup ?

    I wanted to install socks5 on my server.
    Its a CentOS dedicated server..

    i installed 3proxy.. but it didnt work..
    page was coming blank when i used the sock..

    then i turned to squid..

    i installed squid..

    i get the following errors in the cache.log ..

    2009/07/27 09:46:13| The request GET http://rd.companion.yahoo.com/compan...t=31335/7_2_2/ *http://l.yimg.com/us.yimg.com/i/sh/bl.gif is DENIED, because it matched 'all'
    2009/07/27 09:46:13| The reply for GET http://rd.companion.yahoo.com/compan...evt=31335/7_2_ 2/*http://l.yimg.com/us.yimg.com/i/sh/bl.gif is ALLOWED, because it matched 'all'

    below is the configuration file i put.. and i tried to put the server ip and port 3128 to my IE, but i got Access Denied Error..

    To use socks on your server you need only SSH. Issue:
    ssh -D 9999 ip.address

    and point your web-browser to 127.0.0.1:9999

    i want it to be an anonymous one...
    I am ready to pay if i get the rite ppl here to set it up on my server..

    I'm not quite sure what that means. You want people to be able to use your server as a socks5 proxy without having to log in?

    If You need to use Your own server for secure browsing why dont You simply use SSH tunneling. You dont need to install anything at all
