I m curious on how to add additional HDD on Dell M-series blade server. What i have seen till now is that only 2 HDD space is available on those server, i would request expert opinion on this issue. Experienced users please share your views or how did u guyz solve this issue.

I'm not familiar with the Dell blade chassis, but many vendors (I know Sun and HP for instance) offer a "storage blade", generally containing 6-8 2.5" SAS drives. You can generally configure these as either iSCSI SAN or NAS storage.

Hmmm...just did a quick search on this, and it appears as if Dell may not offer storage blades (which is mentioned by both HP and Sun as a selling point in favor of their own blade chassis). Plus it looks like--except for the most expensive M710 series blade-- the M series blades only support 2 drives, while I know many HP and Sun blades support 4 drives per blade. Well, that's definitely one way to make sure some business goes to Dell's EqualLogic storage unit. Looks like you'll have to do as nowiresltd suggested and invest in a separate chassis.
