Peoples worst ever expierence with a host
What has been your worst ever experience with a web host? Just Interested to see if there is a pattern of bad points towards certain hosts.

There are going to be various people who have bad experiences even at hosts that are reputable and generally considered good.
The reason most people have bad experiences is that their expectations of the service are not realistic such as expecting to be able to use 500gb of storage and 3,000gb of transfer on a $5.95/month shared plan.
If not for that, there are some truly bad hosts out there - I had some bad experiences with ThePlanet where in their power distribution room in the datacenter literally exploded and a server was without service for around 52 hours. While I can't directly blame them - it was my reasoning for moving away from them.

I once bought a reseller for 10$ and sent the money VIA PayPal and it went threw the company gave me the reseller and then like 3 days later they cut me off and banned me from the servers and i lost the 10$ i called paypal and they couldn't get my money back saying something that they cancelled there account it was like a big scam

If this is for me, I just left it as it was and lost my 10$ after that day I never and haven;t wend with a new company, I always go with a company that has been up for atleast 1 year.

I had a company accuse me of selling illegal items because I canceled my services with them.

A local company I signed with that has since closed down. They hosted like 250 people only on a high speed line. I got an email awhile ago from the guy that ran it to find out he hosted it from home.

I never made the domain stop pointing to them after I canceled so they posted warez up and other things.

A large hosting company blamed me for a DDOS. Just cause it started on my server and it was on a shared host with dozens of people on it and my site was just a little test site where I was learning XHTML. So after bugging me forever about DDOS they finally got everything up and running. Since then their support team has been extremely slacking because the live chat would never open up and the phone won't stop ringing. Never really had a "bad experience with a host" But 30 minutes ago at "Subway Sandwiches" probably the worst experience in my life

hahaha yea me and 2 buddies of mine walk in and there is no one in line. We walk up and they were so slow that it end up having 26 people in line (it went out the door and into the parking lot). So finally moving on there was way to many sandwiches on the line. And whenever I asked to put something (lettuce, cheese etc.) They put it on the wrong sandwich. And not only that they put it on someone elses sandwich. They had to remake about 9 sandwiches. I spent almost an hour their getting a sandwich.
