    I need a vacation

I am planning to take a short vacation from work. What is the best vacation spot to go right now? Any suggestion?

Amen on the need for a vacation, we're getting a group of friends and family together and going to rent a cabin in North Georgia.

I've got a small cabin 4 miles from Skyline Drive just outside of
Shenandoah National Park that I'm heading up to this weekend...

I went to vermont in a town of like 40 people and saw moose and rabits etc. That is the only place I go each year and is good if you like to keep to yourself

Well, looking at the contact information from the link in your signature, I assume your from Eastern Pennsylvania (I was born in Reading)

I enjoy the mountains more than the beach so my suggestions
    would be.

    The Adirondacks:
    http://visitadirondacks.com

    Shenandoah National Park:

But, if you're a beach person, then I would go here:

    The Outer Banks, NC

How short would this vacation be?
Lot's of very good all inclusive vacations to the Dominican Republic or even South Florida out there.

If you are going to drive, I'd recommend the Adirondacks as well. Pretty peaceful.

If you want a beach, with weather permitting, Long Island has a great public beach right off the LIRR train station. Terrific spot.

If it were me though, I'd definitely go somewhere warm.

Here's a wild idea. Come to Saint Martin / Sint Maarten in the Caribbean. It's great this time of the year and it's low season.

NICE, Sirius. Not a bad rate, either, considering the 5-bedroom size.

I've recently been tempted to visit Thailand. $650 for roundtrip tickets if you hunt in the right places, plus the costs of food/hotel/entertainment are really cheap there.

I just booked my flight to a cool, 68 degree Canada, I'm heading off tomorrow for a nice, much needed break from this warm Florida weather.

Come to California we have near 1100 miles of beaches if you include the curves in the shoreline and count our 15 islands.

My two favorite beaches in California are Laguna Beach home tohit MTV show Laguna Beach in The O.C. and La Jolla (the jewel) in northern San Diego County.

Hate to say it, but I did not particularly care for Laguna Beach. I was only there once, though, approximately three years ago.

I've been to blue ridge, some of the roads leading to those cabins are pretty hairy. When I was there a few were washed out.

We've all got big pick up trucks, not too worried about it. Can't wait to get on the ATV's and get muddin'!
