Resetting WebDisk on the Windows side?
I configured WebDisk on my webhost (via cPanel) and it works great on one computer but with the other there is a slight problem:
When the password was first entered it was mistyped, saved somewhere (I have no idea where, that's what I am trying to find out) and now whenever I try to connect I receive an error:
I tried to reset the password via Internet Explorer (Tools | Options) but that cleared other passwords, not the WebDisk one.
There was a problem connecting to the WebDisk service
Any idea how to reset that password (on Windows, the client side)?
The solution depends on the version of windows. For Vista download and install SP2 and the WebDAV hotfix
Then create the webdisk manually:
From the desktop, click on Start and then Computer.
2. Then, click on Map Network Drive.
3. From that screen, click Connect to a Web site that you can use to store your documents and pictures, and then click Next.
4. Click Choose a custom network location, and then click Next.
5. Enter the following in the Internet or network address field:
6. Enter your WebDisk username and password when prompted.
Sorry for failing to mention my Windows version. It is XP SP3. I will try your instructions shortly. Thank you very much!
Thank you again. It worked as you described, except that in my case I am using secure connection so the URI is:
Cool. Thanks for the update.
